About Me…
Travel has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. My love of travel started at age 12 on my first trip to the Bahamas, where I fell in love with the Caribbean, clear blue water, and the feeling of exploring somewhere completely different from home. A few years later, I had the opportunity to play soccer in Italy, and even as a teenager, I was fascinated by the incredible art, architecture, and history around me.
Today, I'm an AuDHD adult, a mom to an AuDHD teen, a travel advisor, and an educator with more than 20 years of experience working with neurodivergent students. Travel has always been a huge part of our family life. We've explored National Parks, chased waterfalls, hiked mountain trails, and searched for beautiful places to be near the water. We love trying new things, even when those adventures push us outside our comfort zones. In fact, we've hiked through Arizona in the summer heat like a bunch of lunatics because sometimes the adventure is worth it!
Like many neurodivergent families, travel for us requires thoughtful planning. We navigate sensory sensitivities, crowd avoidance, long lines, heat intolerance, and some very selective eating habits—both mine and my son's. Over the years, I've learned that successful travel isn't about forcing yourself into someone else's idea of a perfect vacation. It's about finding destinations, accommodations, and experiences that work for your unique needs, interests, and travel style.
I'm also a low-key Disney adult who believes a great vacation can be anything from an epic international adventure to a quick getaway built around something you love. I once flew from Pennsylvania to Florida for less than 24 hours just to ride my favorite attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and spend a few hours wandering through the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival sampling as many cheese-inspired dishes as possible. While that might sound a little over the top to some people, I think it perfectly captures my approach to travel: if something brings you joy, it's worth making time for.
One of the things I enjoy most about being a travel advisor is getting to know the people I work with. I believe listening is one of the most important parts of planning a great trip. Every traveler is different, and before I recommend a destination, resort, cruise, or itinerary, I want to understand what makes your family unique. What are your interests? What are your challenges? What would make this trip feel successful for you?
I work with a variety of travel brands and destinations, including autism-focused options such as Beaches Resorts and Royal Caribbean, Autism Double-Checked properties such as Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts, and many other resorts, cruise lines, and destinations that are naturally a great fit for many autistic and ADHD travelers. Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach vacation, a cruise, a National Parks adventure, a theme park getaway, or a bucket-list trip you've been dreaming about for years, I'd love to help you make it happen.
Because everyone deserves the chance to experience the excitement, confidence, and joy that comes from discovering a new place—and sometimes the best memories come from taking that first step toward an adventure you never thought possible.
